Nasi Special with ginger, spring onion, meat strips & soy sauce
Ingredients (for 4 portions)
- 400 g white rice
- 50 g fresh ginger
- 1 bunch spring onions
- 1 tbsp Conimex Wok Oil
- 300 g pork stir-fry strips (or beef strips / chicken strips)
- 1 leek, sliced
- 250 g white cabbage, sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 125 g bean sprouts
- 1 carrot, chopped
- 1 red chili pepper, chopped
- 1 pack of Conimex Herb Mix Nasi Special
- 2 tbsps Conimex Sweet Soy Sauce
- 15 g Conimex Naturel Prawn Crackers
Directions (for 4 portions)
Prepare the rice according to instructions on the package. Drain in a colander, rinse with cold water and leave to drain well. Peel and grate the ginger. Slice the spring onions thinly.
Heat a wok, add a tablespoon of Conimex wok oil and stir-fry the pork strips with the ginger for 3 minutes. Add the leek, cabbage, onion, beansprouts and the carrot together with the vegetable mix (from the Conimex Herb Mix Nasi Special pack) and 100 ml water, and stir-fry another 5 minutes.
Put the rice, half of the spring onions, the spice mix (from the Conimex Herb Mix Nasi Special pack) and the Conimex Sweet Soy Sauce in the mix and stir-fry for another 3 minutes.
Divide the nasi between 4 bowls or plates. Crumble over the Conimex Prawn Crackers Naturel and sprinkle with the rest of the spring onions.
Serve Nasi Special with ginger and spring onion, meat strips & soy sauce with Conimex Sambal Manis.
For extra-spicy nasi, add a chopped red pepper to the meat in the wok.
